Jaffray Woodriff, born in 1969, grew up on a working farm near Charlottesville, Virginia and attended the University of Virginia. Woodriff always knew he wanted to be a trader, but he wanted to do it differently than anyone else using a unique computerized approach. His firm, Quantitative Investment Management was established in May, 2003. QIM trades a futures program and an equity program, both exhibiting a strong return/risk performance. The firm manages more than $4 billion in assets and has just 32 employees. Committed to transparency, Woodriff publishes a blog on www.transparentsimplicity.com, writing about markets, regulation, high frequency trading, programming and predictive modeling.
Woodriff is a married father of two, a voracious reader and an avid squash player and enthusiast.
